Personality, ulcers or pain; what’s the real cause behind girthiness?

In today’s video, we talk about the REAL cause behind girthiness.

Before we begin, let’s first understand what exactly is meant by the term girthiness.

When horses are sensitive to having the saddle cinch or girth tightened, they often react by pinning their ears, kicking, tensing their body, swishing, sucking in air, licking out, biting, nodding, moving around, or similar behaviours.

This is often referred to as a horse being “girthy,” “cinchy,” or “cinch-sensitive.”

What’s behind girthiness? Health conditions? Personality? Discipline? Too short girth? Ill-fitting saddle?

Explore the truths in our latest video and get to the root of the problem.

Let’s ensure your horse’s saddle fit is the solution, not the problem. 🏇
